Driving through a Flood or Ford

Drive slowly - avoid making a wave which could flood the engine.

Keep your revs up and slip the clutch - this stops water entering through the exhaust.

Try your brakes when out of the water - here it is all right to use your left foot on the brake as you are pulling away from the water, but don’t use your left foot on the brake at any other time.
