One of the things people find most difficult when learning to drive is reversing around a corner. As a guide if you reverse until your back wheel is at the start of the corner, and then make a note of where the kerb appears in your window, you should be able to follow it round until you can see down the side road, then it should be easy!

Visibility will vary with the driving school car, but the principle is the same.
